1500 lbs of White Corn Flour

I have an opportunity to purchase (1500Lbs) thirty 50Lb bags of white corn flour @8.75 each locally. Total of $262.50. I must purchase all which is a 1/2 pallet. I know it is not as stable as whole corn. What would you do?

At 18 cents / pound? Sounds like a great bargain to me.
Maybe split the deal with a couple of friends?

It depends though...how much do you like tortillas?
That's a lot of tacos.

Considering flour is a complete non necessity in your diet, I'd pass.:15_1_70v:

Now if you plan on spending SHTF with some rather large females, maybe yes.:tongue_ma:

Ground up meal does not last that long, even if it has been oxy free.

That's cheaper than a bag of chicken feed in my area. You could try to resell some of the bags to people for food or animal feed. Or, if your feeling generous, you can donate some to a shelter or food bank.

It doesn't seem like that good of a deal. Small corn tortillas are regularly on sale (in 33oz packs) for 3c/oz at my Kroger.

Corn is a complete junk food. I second the suggestion to make alcohol....Or feed it to your chickens.

If you must buy flour go with almond or coconut.....even oat bran is passable as a semi nutritious food.

Avoid Wheat and Corn like the plague.

You might consider starting a food thread? What foods are worthwhile for example. I'd read it for sure.

He suggests the world live off of grass fed animals, despite that being an impossibility for 99+% of the world population no matter how it was organized. That said, if you are of considerable means you could buy a ranch and live his recommendation and be prepped.

Yeah, go ahead and eat the grain fed meat if you want heart disease and god knows what else from the hormones and antibiotics. Omega 6 to 3 ratios are what get you with grain fed cows. Factory farmed cows are disgusting. Grass fed is as Mother Nature intended. And who's talking about feeding 99% of the world anyway? If people weren't such gluttons, real meat would go much further.

Read Dr. Weston Price's work on refined grains. That's his point about flours. It's detructive to the body.

A quick lesson in nutrition (and thus health). Eat like people ate 150 years ago. No refining. No processing. Elegantly simple. Sugars (flour is like sugar too) and heated processed oils/fats are the worst 'food' you can eat. Avoid them and you'll be ok. Not so easy in modern, hurried times though. But totally necessary to stay healthy.
